My First Ever Image of The HorseHead Nebula was created by carlobeirnes
Hi All,
Here is an H Alpha+RGB image I took of the horsehead Nebula Over 5 nights of clear skies. As most of you know doing this sort of imaging is pretty new to me. So here is my first time effort of imaging what Orion has to offer next I'll try get the flame Nebula and try some sort of mosaic.
Image Details,
NGC2024 The HorseHead Nebula HA (R+HA G B ) 240:240:90:120 28th of October through to 1st of November 2008 through a William Optics FLT-110 Triplet APO refractor Atik 16Hr cdd camera. Guided with a Celestron 80ED And Sac 4.2 ccd camera with phd guiding software On a CGE mount. Processed by Carl O'Beirnes & Dave Grennan in ImagesPlus V3.5 and Photoshop CS2

Well, I for one am impressed Carl. Now that it looks like you've mastered the Horsehead, your next task is to get the widefield version with the Flame Nebula included!

Carl - that's excellent. Superb framing and you've caught many many fine details there. Like Ronan, one of the best Horseheads I've seen in a while.
