Copernicus Crater region Mosaic attempt was created by wellbuttie
Due to the bad weather I had a look at some old captures of the lunar surface, to find that some of the images on a previous imaging run overlapped. This is my first attempt at a mosaic of two sets of images of the Copernicus region of the Moon. Taken a good few months ago from Cherrymount, Waterford, Ireland.

Seeing that there are limits to the physical size on Flickr, this is a link to the proper sized one: www.deiseastronomy.com/gallery/moon/Copernicusmosaic2flat.jpg

Thanks for looking

Steve

That's a pretty cool image. Sets the bar for me to aim at. Really good detail. What scope camera etc were used?

Steve, that's a fine image, there's so much detail you could stare at it for an hour and not see everything. Didi you use a webcam?

Thanks for the encouragement folks. The Scope used was a CGE11 inch SCT, with a DMK 31AF03 at 30 Frames per Second using a Red filter. Each of the Images stitched were approx. the best 980 frames out of about 3000.

Best regards

Steve
