IC 1396 The Elephant Trunk Nebula was created by carlobeirnes
Hi all,

Here is an image of IC 1396 The Elephant Trunk Nebula. I have come to the conclusion that it's next to impossible to get colour for images in this country. Every time It's clear out the Moon seems to be around when there's no Moon It's cloudy anyway rant over. I've ordered some narrowband filters so I can get some sort of colour for the images, even when the moon is around. Image was taken on the 4th of march 15.x 5min exposures in H-Alpha darks where 24 x 5 @ - 25 deg. You all know the set up by know.

VERY nice Carl. Are there a few artifacts in there from dark subtraction?

Yes I put in darks taken from another night @-25deg and some pixals showed up in the image.I'll just have to take darks on the same night.
