I hope that this comp is swamped by the Irish
brigade as we seem to have a large number of excellent
astrophotographers per HOP.
As far as I recall the images have to have been taken in 09
am I right?

Nope - no mention of when images were taken in the rules.

I hope to god that Steve Roches images were shortlisted - they were fantastic. I just threw in my image complete with warts - lets face it you guys can see tracking errors - no flats - vignetting overexposed cores, bloated stars - need I go on.

If this got selected and Steve Roches superb M42 didn't then there is something wrong with the judges.
