Congratulation To Frank was created by lunartic_old
I see that Frank Ryan's image of the impact on Jupiter has been published in this month's Astronomy Now.

I would like to offer my congratulations to Frank on this superb image.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Nice one,
Long gone are days when you had to physically send them a floppy with the image on it, no online image submitting back when...

*adopting a really self servile tone*
Well - Actually David.
Linda Story emaild me to request it..
muwha.
:silly:

Actually, it's surprisingly easy to get shots published in these mags..
as Dave says all you have to do these days is fire them off to the gallery's..
It's a handy way to get a few bob and a free mag
One half decent shot in 3 mags could earn you 30 Sterling which is a nice
way to save up for more gear.
(last year I submitted a ridiculous amount to as many I could and saved up enough
to by a lens out of it)
Although the only one that doesn't give anything is Sky at Night which is a pity
I think some kind of token, even if it is just a copy of the issue is a decent gesture back.

With the amount of excellent astrophotographers here
- and now two Irish winners in the
Sky at Night / Greenwich Observatory Astrophotographer of the Year Comp..

We could clean 'em out each month!

Get submitting lads...!

Awesome!

Well done, Frank.

FWIW, Sky at Night also don't appear to take sketches, or at least they've never replied to my emails asking if they do. They're definitely sinking in my esteem.
