Adapter for Skylux? was created by Frank Ryan
I'm looking to attach my EOS350D onto a Skylux 70mm refractor (the Lidl one)
to take some Moon shots.
Anyone done this / what is required?
Thanks in advance.

A 1.25 inch T adapter it looks like ya?
and then a T ring for attaching that to the camera.
Just checking this is right?

I think that would be it alright.
As it's only a 1.25" focuser, you may get vignetting on a DSLR chip.
Michael.

BTW, are you planning to buy a Lidl skylux for the OTA or do you have an OTA already?

I got one last Christmas and it's still in the box!
That just tells you what kind of year I've had...
On Vignetting,
is there other options with a 1.25 inch eyepiece holder
to reduce or eliminate it?

I've done this Frank, and it works well - the two pieces you show there - nosepiece and T-adaptor are just fine, and vignetting is not a problem with an APS-C type chip. One small thing - you will find that point of focus is almost right at the end of the focusser's travel which means the balance is pretty poor. Remember to wrap the camera strap around the scope to give a safety net in the event of any expensive falling out events!
Good Luck!
Paul.
