Managed about 3 hours under the sky on thursday night. With the moons massive light pollution. It waqs the only thing to image. So I went for a whole moon pic.

Steve, that's a great detailed image, a little dark I think, but I think iof you brighten it up will that take some detail away?
What did you shoot it with/through? Nice job, a worthy wallpaper
Keith.

Kieth
Many thanks. 254mm f5 newt, DMK41AU02 2000 frames for each of 12 shots, ir-cut registax5 and photo-shop (for the mosaic).
I tweaked the gam slightly to improve contrast. For exposure I was fighting slight over exposure on the sun side, and am clearly less exposed than I could be on the terminator. I have thought of shooting at 2 different exposures and then trying some HDR rendering, I'll leave that for another long night (and even longer days processing)

Steve - that's a super image. You've captured it well and processed it even better! I really like the way you've kept the detail without over-brightening the image as Keith alludes to.
Its certainly a keeper.

Steve - I think its a great image. When I saw the first shot my immediate impression was its a little dark - but the scaling really works when viewed on the larger scale and you pan around - which I enjoyed doing. I think its a great capture. You've got some lovely detail.
Also when viewed on the smaller scale the light reflected of off crater Anaxogoras (I has to look it up) around twelve o'clock position and around the limb towards 11 o'clock position - give me the illusion that there is a secondary lighting effect to the top left - sort of spooked me at first. That's a personal "gee what's that" - not a flaw - its what's there (at least in my eye). Tycho crater with the rays emanating from it is excellent.
As I hope you gleam from my posting - I enjoyed that - thanks for posting it. Exposed my ignorance of La Luna and prompted me to look up a couple of crater names after realising that I can't remember any...
