Registax 3 - Reprocessing old avis was created by michaeloconnell
After Dave Gradwell's superb talk Thursday night, I simply had to go back and reprocess some of my old avis from last year. Below are a few I did this evening. All were taken on the same day (16/05/2004). I used 10fps at the time, although if I were recording them now I'd use 5fps as this is the max the camera can take.
The latest version of registax (uploaded in the last coiuple of days) is well worth downloading, as are the pdf files which help to explain the workings of the program.
Clear skies,

After last nights talk, I'm even more impressed with registax3!
Did you find you were able to get more detial out of the image using reg3?

I've found it a lot easier to use. Thats the main advantage. Though seeing Dave Gradwell use it is much better than reading any documentation.
I went back to my Mars avi's from 2003, and while the avi's arn't great to start with, I found I was able to get much better images from them than with earlier versions of registax with less effort.
Cheers,

Hi michael
Amazing shots!!
Might I ask what is the telescope you use? What size aperture are we talking....? etc.
I was also present at daves talk and I have to say that registax blew me away. I had never seen the program in operation before and I was amazed by the improvement it could make. Makes me want to go buy a webcam and get going right now!
Thanks
Kieran
