So Cloudy.....but nice effect! was created by Keith g
Hi all, I was just thinking, it's so cloudy of late, with no real prospect of seeing stars until at least thursday night :( so I thought i'd post a shot to catch you eye, It's a shot of Canis Major with Sirius of course, taken last February beside a nearby Lake I go to to shoot. A car pased by to light up the area where I pulled in, a 2minute exposure using Kodak Elitechrome 200 film, 50mm Lens. Many thanks to the Driver! Sometimes light pollution does work!

Hope you like it,
Keith..

That is a great shot Keith. Great focus as well.

As for the "accidental lighting", remember that you can do the same using a flashlight by "painting" the immediate foreground with your flashlight's beam. It works quite well.

It took me a few second to figure out the constellation, its pretty rare that you see that one that clearly.!
Again, nice image and sharp focus. :)

I am. I have a 35mm slr camera (Cosina) with a couple of lenses. But the kind I am thinking of at the moment is with the T-adapter directly on the camera, and with an eyepiece.

I hope to get one of those Canon thingy's... a 300C or E, can't remember which ( )

But its going to be a slow progress for me. Money just keeps burning holes in anything its kept in at the moment, and none of it for leisure. :(
