Moonscape from the 15th

A gap in the bad weather last monday provided a nice opportunity to image the Moon. Seeing was quite stable and didn't affect my WO 102ED too badly. My DMK21 camera was attached to a 2x Televue barlow and Astronomik type 2c red filter. This final composit consists of 16 images stitched together in photoshop. Enjoy!

Excellent shot James, I was living in Mons Apenninus on the 14th so yes a wonderful sharp image there.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. Hopefully I'll manage the whole Moon at my next attempt. I originally captured 45 images with the intention of imaging the whole thing but of course I ended up with a little area in the centre that I failed to capture. Typical! Maybe I'll have better luck next time.
