ISS Flyby 23-6-11 was created by carlobeirnes
Hi all,
Here is a video I made of The ISS it was imaged when the Sun was 9 Degrees above the horizon. ISS was at 60 degrees altitude on the 23-6-11 @ 21.30, I was very surprised the way it turned out because I had to use Vega as a reference point for adjusting the brightness and contrast. The atmospheric turbulence was unreal because of the Sun anyway here is my results.
The video is around a minute long you can see clearly the way the space station rotates again there is a lot of turbulence.
The image taken from Balbriggan Observatory Co Dublin. and was captured using satellite Tracker software with a Celestron C14 at f11 3910mm focal length a Lumenera 2.0 mono camera at 30fps on an AP1200 mount. Processing was done using vitualDub and registax V5.

Excellent Carl!
Capturing that during the day is very good work.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Pat there is nothing too difficult when imaging the ISS everything you need is at this link
www.webtreatz.com/index.php/tutorials/35...53-satellite-tracker
Some important rules to follow make sure your finder scope is perfectly aligned with the eyepiece. Don’t even worry about cameras at this point just enjoy the view in the eyepiece for an even better chance of keeping it in the eyepiece use a 6.3 reducer. This goes for anyone trying this sort of imaging patience’s is key it can be very tricky at first but once you get use of the way the hand controller works your flying.
The hand controller www.amazon.co.uk/Shock-Gamepad-Controlle...id=1310031124&sr=8-4 the left analog button is for making the mount go faster right is for slowing the mount down, pressing up makes the mount move down and vice versa.
I’ll be moving on form imaging the ISS as I’m setting the Observatory back up for MPC work and for deep sky imaging. I want to get everything working sweetly for August but I’m here for anyone who wants any advice or help on the ISS or anything Astronomy.
