IC434 Horsehead through an AT8RC was created by CarlightExpress
Here's my first attempt at IC434 with the Astro-Tech 8" AT8RC on the NEQ6Pro mount
I've imaged this before with my C80ED, but decided to go for higher reslution
Image consists of 13x 10 Min ISO 800 Images with a modified and cooled Canon 500D, 19 Darks, 53 flats
Images acquired with Backyard EOS
Stacked with Nebulosity 2
Processed with PS CS5
Outside temperature was +2 Degrees C, camera imaging sensor temp was -19 Degrees C

I use my laptop to acquire the darks and flats, I use BackyardEOS for the darks, and Nebulosity for the flats, I only use Nebulosity for the flats to be able to see the histogram as my camera is in a cooling box which I do not want to have to open to change it to AV mode for BYEOS to do the flats.
With BYEOS you get to chose whether they are Darks or Lights.

VERY nice images on Flickr Simon, you're getting really good results. The homemade cooling accessory for your camera is impressive.
