Hi,
Well, isn't the good weather just great, everyone seems to get out under the skies.
Perfect timing for our recent Jupiter/Venus/Moon conjunction
So once again I charged up the auld 300D batteries and went to work with it.

and

While at it, I got some shots of the Moon,

and again while I was in the imaging mood, I took a quick shot of the supernova in M95. Taken with a canon300D, it doesnt compare to the ccd images of it out there, but does look like how it does look through the eyepiece.

I focused the scope using a bantinov mask, the absolute bees knees, takes alot of the hardship out of focusing, I took a shot of Regulus using the mask so I could clearly see it and be sure of focus, makes for a pretty picture.

Nice Dave,

Your definitely getting your monies worth out of that 300d.
What a versatile camera, wide field, moon close up and deep sky images.

Great

Tony

thanks guys, I do what I can with the equipment I have.
that 300D has been through alot, the last venus transit, 2 solar eclipses, and numerous lunar eclipses and its still going strong.

Dave, what fabulous shots! The 300D is a great camera, in my opinion one of the better ones from canon, and this was the first dslr I believe, I had one myself some years ago.

:)
