Andromeda M31 was created by Nerro
Got a chance to have a go at M31 again tonight, and tried black and white shots. This time took some darks and flats, and i can see the difference they are making.Almost no noise and absolutelly delighted with the end result.
As usual i am suffering because of the field flattener but hopefully i will order a proper one next week.

Awesome work, Nerro.
What gear did you use?
I had a go at Andromeda last night, got 5 somewhat usable shots. There's a street light flooding my back garden and I can't see north to polar-align the mount but I think I got a reasonable image from five 20 sec exposures at ISO800.
LXD-75 + SN-10 + eos500D
Nowhere near the detail of yours but it's the best outcome I've had to date.

Thanks, I was very pleased to get that kind of detail. I wish the mount could track for 6 minutes.
I've been playing with the Atik 16HR I picked up from David a while back but haven't really got it to play nice under linux yet. With a little luck it will be good to go as the longer nights roll in and I can eak out more of those lovely dust trails.
I am doomed to Belfast living for at least a few months though so that will be the main limitation.
