Yeah I agree with what you say about less frames / more noise in the wavelets. I suppose the problem is when is there too many frames? What I tend to do is to use th gradient method set to about 80%. Ifyou run the slider up and down after alignment there seems to be an obvious point at which the frames degrade. I usually go just inside this and set th limit there. As i say that's my method and I'm open to suggestions.
