Jupiter Timelapse was created by jmckeon
Hi IFAS
This is a timelapse I put together of parts of Jupiter's rotation. It shows some of Io's transit and shadow. This was captured on Feb 25th over the space of about an hour and a half. The first portion is 45 minutes worth or rotation, then interrupted by clouds (of course) and then final part is about 15-20 minutes worth of rotation after the clouds cleared. Telescope used was a C8 SCT with a 2.5x powermate. The camera used was the neximage webcam. 20 captures were taken all together. Each capture was stacked in AS!2 with wavelets applied in Registax. The gif was made with adobe imageready.

That's very good. Looks like you have that timelapse animation technique sorted.

Thumbs up, a really cool animation John, good work! It's always nice to see such animations, considering thwe shortness in sequence too.

Wow that’s pure class, great processing I love the color balance on each frame, It must have taking a while to put together. Well done on a fine image.

Thanks all, Looking forward to capturing Jupiter again as its starting to rise now. Anyone got a filter that can see through clouds?
