Saturn through a C8

Think I got lucky with seeing conditions last Saturday morning around 1am.
If I look hard enough I think I can see that hexagonal polar vortex :laugh:

The use of a red filter is not something I've seen discussed before, do you have a reference for the technique or was it simply experimentation? Thanks for posting all of the details, it's useful to see this comprehensive a description.
