Mars 24th April.
Some good seeing Wednesday night so thought I would have another go at imaging Mars.
Set up just before midnight and finished about 1.30 a.m.
Scope 8” f8 reflector, ASi 120mc camera and 2.5 x barlow.
Stacked 3750 form 8000 in AS!2, Wavelet in Registax and a touch up in Photoshop
Frames captured=8024
File type=AVI
Binning=no
ROI=512x440
FPS (avg.)=65
Shutter=10.03ms
Gain=42
Gamma=50

Great image of Mars, Tony. I can see the North Polar Cap, Syrtis Major and Hellas. There seems to be other land features on view also. Keep up the good work.

Great shot,
Very representative of as high power large telescope view of it.
You can look at all the high end glossy hubble type images of the planet, but they never give you a feel of what you actually see at the eyepiece, :scope:
It's pretty much what I got to see a few nights back.

Great picture Tony ,confirms features I thought I was looking at.
Hellas in particular was surprised to see it looking white! Easy to confuse with Polar Cap.
Something to remember until next opposition 2016 .
