Just got an taste of using it last night in the back garden, caught mars and figured out the orion nebula wasn't actually fog on my glasses before the cloud moved in. Gonna have to sort out a finder I think though the one on the scope is poor.

Good to see you put your vouchers to good use!
You'll find the people here very friendly and more than happy to help you out in whatever way they can.
I don't know if you are aware, but there is an astronomy club not too far from you:

You'll find the guys there very helpful.
Regards,
Michael.

Just to introduce myself. I'm from Shannon, Clare. Just got my first scope a new Celestron Astromaster 90EQ from amazon using Christmas vouchers . Good for starters I hope.

Welcome!
I have the same scope. The finder is rubbish. I bought a Telrad finder and it has made it so much easier to find objects in the sky.
