New moon challenge was created by Fermidox
Sunset today is 16.42 in Limerick, at which point the moon is 15 hrs 12 mins old. This would be a new record for me anyway so fingers crossed the skies remain as clear as they are at the moment!

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

I'll give it a go, my western horizon is not the best, but you never know.

Failed to catch it, my SW horizon only began to clear after 5pm by which point it must already have been too low.

Same here, the Dublin mountains and low cloud kept it hidden.

Another chance tonight, the moon is 16½ hours old at sunset and more favourably placed at this time of year.

Failed again - had a reasonable window of opportunity but background sky apparently too bright.
