I've been tracking it's passes on heavens above and it's
well placed the odd time to see it but I keep getting
clouded out at the wrong time.
Just wondering has anyone here observed it yet?

No luck here Frank. I wasn't necessarily clouded out, I just missed the passes! I have one at 18:15 hours from my location, which is shortly after I get home, so I should remember that one. The only drawback is that it will be borderline naked-eye visible.

I just checked out Heavens Above and it seems to be very faint - the brightest it gets over the next few days is mag +5.6 - so unless you have an extremely dark sky, you will need binos.

Your right there Mike.
Also, the next few nights passes are in near twilight and that
will make it even more difficult to pick it out.

Go figure, the one time you make an effort since it was launched and it was actually clouded out. : angry:

I tried again for this evenings pass (18:27hrs rise time, mag +7.8) but I couldn't find it in the evening twilight. However, I did (by chance) spot a nice bright Iridium Flare around 18:31hrs.

One more chance for Omid tomorrow night.
