Gents,
Anyone planning to attend the longest annular eclipse of the millenium in Jan/2010?
I am slowly making plans ... airline tickets are just over 400 euro.
Anthony.

Hmmm..
400 euro to which country?
I've never seen an Annulur Eclipse.
Have you?
What is it like?
Do you still get to see the corona?
Bottom line - is it worth it!

First time for me as well.I've never seen an Annulur Eclipse.

We have 11+ minutes of annularity for this one. Also, for Kenya, sunrise will include a partially eclipsed sun which is perfect for some great pics! What is it like?
There are people who have pursued an extended exposure in order to capture the corona. Also, Baily's beads are another target during annular eclipses.Do you still get to see the corona?

Dave,
What better excuse not to spend money on Xmas presents for the relatives?!
"I blew it all on my eclipse trip next month. Sorry! Next year, I promise."

ok, so whats involved in getting into Kenya, visas? innoculations? bribes or what ?
Can you just book a flight and land there with no problems ?
I'm gonna look into flights to see if its viable form here.
If its cheap enough then I'm going.!
