Thnx Michael, as I said to Ronan, it must have been a slow news day on the Sun:)) and enjoyed the trip and say thnx to all for being so welcoming.
Dave, this alert was for last week, current conditions are stable. there's many factors to take into account as Ronan says. I hope to have my magnetometer data streaming live to my site shortly (my solar flare monitor is streaming live now) and this should give a fairly definite indication as to auroral activity. I give alerts on my blog so stay tuned to that too.
