It is with great pleasure that I get to announce that Paul Evans (Irish Astronomical Association) is the winner for June!
A vast display taken on the early morning of 20th June 2014 - this one was still expanding as the dawn took over. This shot taken just after 3am.
Congratulations Paul, you have won a pair of Celestron Skymaster 15 X 70 Binoculars with thanks to Scopes and Space Ltd.!

Wow, thanks very much guys, I thought it was a goodun but when I saw the other shots i thought maybe not so good! I must apologise to the other entrants for taking advantage of my more northerly location - it does help I'm afraid!
The shot I entered was very much an edit designed to fit the entrance requirement of the competition being no more than 800px wide, and if I'd just shrunk the original it wouldn't have worked. Here is the original shot....... zoom in and scroll across!
