IFAS Astrophotography Celebrates 1 Year of Excellence-Mar 07 was created by Seanie_Morris
Hi folks,
it is 1 year ago since the IFAS Monthly Astrophotography Competition was organised, and this month that the first wave of winners started to become noticed (April for March). I thought it might be no harm to reflect back on the year's past winners:
March 2006 - Deirdre Kelleghan:
April 2006 - Michael O'Connell:
May 2006 - Dave Grennan:
June 2006 - David Stewart:
July 2006 - Michael O'Connell:
August 2006 - Albert White:
September 2006 - Jed Glover:
October 2006 - Jed Glover:
November 2006 - Keith Geary
December 2006 - Seanie Morris:
January 2007 - Paul Evans:
February 2007 - Paul Evans:
Some stunning work in there. Congratulations to you all once again!
Seanie Morris,
IFAS Astrophotography Competition Administrator.

Seanie,
It is nice of you to also find the time to look after this thing and which often many people seem to overlook.
A possible suggestion: have a poll between these twelve entries so as to get the photo of the year from these photos of the month. Just my two (euro)cents.
Anyway, it is nice of you to donate your time for this neat and friendly challenge!

Al,
Just wait for Seanie to declare/announce a meteor challenge such as the Perseids and use that photo!
As for Seanie's photo, he just happened to capture a lot of double and triple star systems. That simple.

No closed clusters though!
Anto,
thanks for the kind words. It is not a HUGE job to do, but as a solo effort, it is nice when fellow boardsters take part during the months. For much of IFAS, if it was not for the participation of all its members, in whatever form, this place would get pretty dull all right!
