The Southern Cross and the Coalsack. Canon 450D and Sigma 50mm F1.4.

November 2010 shot as a first attempt at widefield astrophography. the Great hunter Orion rising high in the South with Canis Major and Canis Minor. It was taken using a Canon 1000d, 30s exposure at ISO 400.

Orion star trails taken with a stationary Canon 350D and 28-80mm lens that was stepped 5 times 4 minutes apart, single shot. No processing.

24 x 60s L + 6 each x 60s of RGB. No guiding, February 2013. Scope: TAK 106ED Camera: ATIK 460ex with Astronomik LRGB filter set. Captured with AstroArt5 and processed with PixInsight.
