Books Forum ? was created by JohnONeill
Hi,
An idea for a forum to cover Books, not so much formal reviews but to answer "is that the right book to ...". Also perhaps, a buy and sell. Most of the current Buy & Sell is devoted to equipment.
Could also cover books on CD and videos, but not software as that has its own forum.
Any ideas.
John

Feel free to discus books etc. in the general section for the moment. If there are enough posts we can look at creating a separate topic.

This seems like an excellent idea.
If a few more people post in agreement I think we should go with this.
John, since this is your idea would you be prepared to moderate the new board assuming it goes ahead?
Cheers,
Bart.

Perhap because light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Seems like a great idea to me!
I like to browse through books before I buy them, but shops with a decent selection of astronomy books are rare around the midlands. Getting the opinions of others who have them is the next best thing. Certainly makes buying them online easier.

A 'Swap & Buy' could also be inegrated, where folks can swap books with one another, which would probably go on to buying and selling, though don't know how that would suit with the mods, as there already is a Buy & Sell forum. Still, I suppose a Swap & Tell on books could also go down well??
