Branch Forum

As has been discussed before (and with which I agree) is the number of club forums around.

Now some of the larger ones have the membership to support a forum but the smaller clubs would not.

My suggestion is to allow smaller (or large) clubs to have a forum here for their use and in which they can plan and organise their events.

Possibly with the forum visible only to club members (and admin etc).

Pros:
Saves clubs the problem of having a forum.
Keeps traffic at this board.
May bring new local members to here.
Private space for the club.

Cons
Can't think of any.

I think I extended this offer many years ago and got no response but things have moved on a lot so lets see if there's an interest this time round .... personally it's something I'd love to see.

Setting up a forum for individual clubs sounds good. The only little issue is regarding privacy of the forum, we'd need to get a list of users from your club and maintain it.

I'd see private boards as being possible only for the committees of the clubs, otherwise it's just un-maintainable. Basically each club can have two baords, a public one and a committee one.

Dont know if there is a need, As far as I know our club has only 3 regulars to this board. If there was a need for a board in KAC I think it would be better to host it on our site, or to have it incorporated in KAC's site.

If you guys can provide private boards that can be incorporated into KAC's site, it would be no harm to give it a lash and see how it goes
