Log In Problem

Log In Problem was created by Johnm
When I log in at the home page, the system doesn't display any error messages but doesn't indicate I've logged in (On the Bulletin Boards header there' still a prompt to log in). I then log in a second time and when I go to the bulletin boards, the system says my last login time was a minute before my current one. I then can't see any new messages since my last login.

I've cleared all my cookies and tried but the same thing happens

Help!!

Is your system time particularly out of sync with reality?

OK, I don't understand exactly what's happening. Could you explain the exact sequence again so I can try re-create it? Also, what OS and what browser are you using?

Hi Bart,

I'm using IE6 on Windows XP (SP2)

I open the Home Page
In the window at the top left I enter my id and password and click the Logon Button
The banner does not change to indicate I'm Logged in so I repeat the previous step.
The banner then changes to say Logged In, displays my Id and number of new messages.
When I go to the Bulletin Boards page, immediately below the logo at the top left the system says my last visit was about a minute before the current time. This coincides with my first (assumed failed) login attempt.

Sorry for the slow reply ... lost track of this thread .... I really have no idea what's going on there. We're very close to moving over to our new site so all this will be a thing of the past before the end of the month anyway. Hope you can struggle on till then.
