date formet for events, not working? was created by dave_lillis
Hi guys,
I'm trying to add an event into the calander, its not accepting it as its coming back with an "invalid date format", and wont seem to take verious formats I type in, also was there a button in the past for selecting a date, its not there now,
Im wondering what the format is.

Hi Dave,
I have just successfully added the Cosmos 2012 event now. When you're typing in the date, make sure it's in 24 hour format e.g. Begin Time of 20:00 and end time of 22:00 - no 'hrs' or 'am' or 'pm'.
Seanie.

the time wasnt the problem, it was the actual DATE format, as in
01-04-2012 or whatever it should be .
Anyway tried again and it's coming back with
"Error:date has wrong format"
so what is the format ?

Hhmmm... I have never typed the date in the Start/From and End/To fields, just simply clicked on the tiny calendar icon next to the two boxes and selected the date from the calendar pop up.

yea, exactly what I used to do, I'd just click on the date icon.
But now the date icons are gone, the time ones are still there.
its a funny one.....

Dave - I just took a look at the "add event" page - I see the calendar buttons and they allow me to pick a date...
There's also an icon to the right that says "format yyyy-mm-dd" when I hoverover it.
If youcan;t see the calendar button or the help icons, try typing in "2012-04-10" (or whatever date you want) and see if that works.
Cheers and HTH
