Nice on Michael,
I just couldn't get out of bed this morning to see it, and as it happens it was clear.
I didnt think they'd be so far apart, starry night seemed to indicated that they'd look nearer.

A fabulous shot, I think the surroundings and the subject are equally important in a picture like that.
You also cought Spica below and to the left of the Moon.
What was the camera and settings.

Dave, Thanks, glad you like it, it's from a nearby lake with a super east view, the surroundings add to the shot, i'm glad it came out well
Spica is to the left of the moon, but if you look closely enough to the left of Spica, you'll see Mars! at the 8 o'clock position.
I used a Canon Powershot A75, 4 second exposure at f3.2. Taken at 6.44am this morning

That's a MUCH better image you have Keith!
But then I guess you earned it - getting up so early and all.
Scenery makes a big difference to an image like that.
