only thing Michael, is we have to take what we get lunar eclipse wise, they're far and few between these days.
I had actually started to close up the dome when the clouds parted, if I had finished 5 minutes earlier and I would have captured nothing.
Wouldn't have captured the Jupiter image in the other thread either.

Aubrey, I've seen other penumbral eclipses where I could clearly see the eclipsed area, with this one it was extremely hard to be sure if I wasn't "imagining" it or not visually by the time I got to see it, well past maximum.

Well done on the capture Dave, Aubrey is right about how photography seeming to be the only surefire way to spot it.

Very clouded out in my location at any time I checked it out.

Thank you, Seanie, for agreeing with me. I was using my Meade 9X63 binoculars in Melbourne; and I saw no change on the Full Moon's appearance, and the eclipse was almost partial phase- so I just put down to an experience of life.
