Ok, so just to update here is the current list of unresolved issues that we are going to fix in no particular order:
*Subject line for all posts is very short. Must increase character limit.
*Ampersand symbol (& appears as "&" in posts existed before migration.
*Fix profile so that authors can manage articles both published and unpublished
*Max image widths for Images
*The Insert/Edit Image button in the Article editor doesn't work. It always assumes Insert, even when you have an image selected.
*Previous Stickies and Announcements have now become ordinary threads and are thus lost to their place in time
.
*Avatars in the upload directory declared to be no larger than 100pixels wide, yet they are all resized smaller than that in the forums.
*Email alerts for new topics
*When replying to posts, layout become slightly too large right-side of screen i.e. as if too large an image is included somewhere. Appears fine when I go back in to edit the same reply/post.
*Some signature errors. Please let us know if you have Profile problems.
*Space in username causing issues when updating profiles
*hover-only" profile editing - Need to fix styles here
*"remember me" checkbox in the login section doesn't seem to work.
*Need a guide on how to write articles
*Clicking on "Announcement" in any particular forum to create a, um, announcement for that forum, comes up with a 'hacking attempt' error. - Give appropriate users rights to may announcements
I don't know if ye know but the 'search' function of the forum is extremely limited.
Case in point,
I am trying to find a pic Dave L took of the Eclipse in Turkey.
With no 'options' like on the old boards it's impossible.
Any Idea how this could be addressed?
Don't know if these are bugs or no no's. I use IE7.
1. lots of stuff in my profile is no longer updatable e.g. signature.
2. Date of member since is way out - by a few years.
3. Keeps asking me for a valid username when trying to update my profile.
Sorry if all this has been mentioned before - I'm just back from holiday and too tired to read any more...........
your siganture and username issues are the same as mine before due to the nature of our usernmes havig a space in it. Darragh can update the signature for you, but he's on holiers now. We are looking for a fix for the username space predicament.

This is my first visit since the update (bad weather blues - spent time playing with my cameras). It's quite different and I like it except for one little thing - the fixed page width. It's mighty small on my widescreen.

Don't know if anyone else is having this problem but when I went into the private messages section, all the messages in both inbox & outbox were duplicated. I manually deleted all the copies but when I went back in later, they were all duplicated again.
Any ideas on why this is happening and is it the same for other users?
