Dave --
I put some pictures of the new OTA up on the Cats & Casses section of Cloudy Nights. The thread is titled "APM 16" Mak" or something to that effect.
Cheers,
-- Jeff.

It's probably more like my grab-and-get-squashed....
But I was thinking a big Mak needs a little Mak finder. Maybe a TEC 6 or even an ETX....

Jeff - what's the weight of the OTA? Will it ride on the AP1200?
Also, if one were to purchase such a beast, what would it cost approx? And what kind of quality do APM offer?
Cheers
Dave

Dave --
It's about 100 lbs. Should ride on the AP1200 (although I got on the El Capitan list just in case).
Cost when I ordered it was in line with a 16" RCOS. With the fall in the dollar, the RCOS would actually be cheaper now. I get the impression that APM quality is a bit below AP, but a bit above William Optics, Vixen and Orion Optics. I'm hoping for something along the lines of TEC or Televue, but I won't know for sure until delivery.
