Seems that Boeing are to building the avionics for the ARES rocket which will bring astronauts back to the moon,

Serious piece of equipment.....i wonder will it stand up to the mighty Saturn5!!!

The contract is worth only 800million dollars! Doesn't seem alot for a lunar transport rocket, or am I missing something?

Thanks Paul, I should have read it slower! I found somewhere else on the net the the overall cost of the Saturn 5/Apollo programme was almost 7billion dollars, but that was during the late 60's and into the 70's. Don't know what that translates as in todays exchange rate with inflation.

I think it was worth it do :lol: what a machine
Was an expensive roman candle!!!! :lol:
I think theyl have a hard time justifying the cost this time round i suppose if the will is there at government level it will happen...multinational venture between all the space nations id say is the only way probably
