Just a couple of solar pics I took yesterday, showing the large sunspot groups 775 and 776, also a full disk image too.

5" Maksutov Cassegrain on EQ6 Mount
Baader Astrosolar filter.
Canon 300D at ISO 200.

Nice shots Dave. Did you do any image reduction? Whenever I shoot large bright objetcs (sun and moon) I get dust motes visible all over the place. So much so that I've given the CCD a good scrubbing. Seems to have worked. Can't be bothered taking flats... :wink:

776 is a lovely group - did you see the one I posted? I wasn;t sure of the number at the time.

Dave they are straight off the camera no processing at all. I'm paranoid about dust getting into my camera so I really am overly careful when it comes to doing anything with the mount cover off.
