Hi Bart,
I could moderate such a group. Is there guidelines for the Moderator?.

:-)

Getting there John! There is a discussion on guidelines going on between the club reps at the moment, hopefully we'll have these posted for the board members to comment on shortly!

Excellent!

And yes, as Al said there will be guidelines.

I'll set up the board once the guidelines are done and let you know. I'm also going to do up a quick tutorial on moderating.

Bart.

When the site is redesigned can you use a serif font? For a minute I was wondering why David Moore was even involved :lol:

Vote++ for the books forum.

I think a books forum would be a great idea. I can only think of one shop that stocks astronomy books but i dare mention their name lol.

Easons and the like do not have many books for the dedicated amateur astronomer.

Even a guide list of decent astronomy books aimed at beginners in the areas of astrophotography and building your own telescope etc. would be great. When i was starting out i bought some ridiculously out of date astronomy books on film astrophotography which really served me no purpose whatsoever.

It would be yet another great forum on an excellent site!

Regards,

Ray

Hodges Figgis have quite a good selection for those in Dublin, top floor down near the back.
