Traveling to Ireland Sept 2015 was created by Teslabolt77
Greetings all!
I am going to be in Ireland from the 5-18th of September and was wondering where the best observatory would be? I want to see deep space and or other objects that I don't see out here in Kansas, USA.
Thanks! Can't wait for the trip.
PS: Also, any other tips or suggestions on when and where to visit star parties in the area? (if you guys have those, it's just where a group of people gather with their telescopes)

Hi Telsabolt
You picked a good time to come.
The Burren starparty is on while you are here
www.irishastronomy.org/index.php?option=...id=100189&Itemid=211
you also have the option of going south to Kerry to the Gold Medal Dark site, the only one in Europe.
Plenty of people all around the country and if you let us know where you are heading im sure we can help.
