What ever about the moon, lets hope the clouds go away first.

I will second that. Moon or no moon we will be doing a watch because you just never know what will happen, the sky is full of suprises. I would rather watch and see very little than go to bed and hear about the great outburst or amazing fireball that was seen while i was in slumber land which seems to be one of those unwritten rules of astronomy :) I remmeber during the Lyrids last year the sky was clear from dusk till dawn but i was commited to telescopic observations that night so could not do a proper watch however i did catch 9 nice meteors at my peripherial. Just hope it clears this year.

Is anyone else planning on doing a watch on the night/morning of maxium?

Clear Skies!

if only it was day later, then it would hit the weekend.
since its on a Friday morning, this makes it difficult to stay up all night, well atleast for me :?

Yea its a real pity its the day before the weekend, i plan on doing an evening watch then get up before dawn on fri morning...bound to see something!!!! will be good practice for the summer showers. Conor and i will be doing a watch for activity if it clears....would be nice to just use the naked eye and get a break away from the eyepiece for a change :D

I must print out the form here to use!

I'm workingmost nights on the weekend, as this night too. I'll be watching a bit before I start work, and then after work from about 3am.
