Folks - whilst conditions tonight don't look fantastic, it looks like skies here in Celbridge might be somewhat clear.
If anyone fancies popping over for a bit of observing and to see Bob (the Astro-Physics 1200 GTO mount) in action (with ot without Kylie) you'd be more than welcome.
I have a large, freshly mown garden with room for plenty. I can supply endless amounts of tea and coffee or, for those of sterner stuff, perhaps the odd Irish coffee...
Anyway, open invite after about 7pm
If you PM or email me, I'll send you on directions and my mobile number. The house is less than 10 mins from the Celbridge junction of the M4 motorway.
Cheers

That a generopus invitation.

Cheers Dave. I know at lot of the KAS lads were interested in seeing the AP1200 so I said I'd do this. They got a sneak peek at the counterweight shaft at our meeting on Friday!
As ever, the weather is the limiting factor so unfortunately last night was out. But tonight looks ok-ish. I will however continue to offer open invitations as and when the weather is good over any weekend.
So - anyone close to Celbdridge who fancies a spin out this way, feel free to drop by.
Also, if you want to check the cloudcast beofre you leave, check out Kildare:
www.metcheck.com/cloudcast.asp?lat=53&am...7&locationID=300
and Dublin
www.metcheck.com/cloudcast.asp?lat=53&am...6&locationID=297
Celbridge is at the edge of Kildare and Dublin - hence I always check both cloudcasts....
Cheers

If I'd seen this invite before now I'd have loved to go along. Maybe next time

Dave,
Many thanks for the invite. I only spotted it about 2 mins before I was leaving the house to go to the cinema in Liffey valley. I though i might as well call 'round to see Kylie on the way home.
Thanks for the hospitality Dave. The mount is very impressive. Should be just about good enough for your Skylux refractor!
