ASTERISM in HERCULES was created by ftodonoghue
Hi All
Myself and a friend (Declan Shortt...welcome to the boards greece) were observing the night before last and Declan came across an asterism in Hercules...In Binoculars it looks like a hook, and is pretty distinctive. Just wondering if anybody came across it before. If you have not seen this you should check it out

Never noticed that before, Time to get the binoculars for that, Is there any designation on it. Also, the star alpha2 - or Alpha Herculis is actually a variable star, Fluctuating betwen magnitudes 3 and 4.

Hi Keith
I have checked in Cartes du Ciel and winstars and couldn't find a name for it, maybe I have not got all the catalogues installed
