yep and its the best of its type freely availble that I've seen. A broadband connection is a must.

The resolution for anywhere outside of the USA is not great; using LANDSAT data which iirc is 1 pixel for 15m. But that is ok resolution for most use. You will need to exagerate the vertical elevation to get a good effect.

Yes, just downloaded and installed it now.
Takes a bit of playing around with.

The installer is >180Mb and the .Net 1.1 Framework (if you don't already have it installed ) ia another 23.5Mb .. so if you have Dial-Up start downloading now and come back on Saturday :lol:


The program is great, very good detail on the map.
However, is it possible to zoom in on the map and see more detail ?

If so, any have instructions ?

Its OK - found out how to do it - you need to change the altitude setting in the Fast Find section.

But be patient - it has to download the fine detail images from the web !

I tried dublin with some success but it was crawling towards the end.
