Thanks Seanie. Yeah, I cropped the top half of the picture - not only because it was just darkness but also because I liked the panoramic look.

I was going to post here at midnight asking if it was the start of a NLC display but didn't bother in the end. Then, when I look out at 2am, it was quite unmistakeable.

Got a good view of the NLC's myself from Maynooth last night but allas I am camera-less at the moment so no pictures for me :cry:

Very nice image!...congrats!

It was clear with me but the north had a bank of cloud which covered any NLCs so i missed them :cry: but i did notice that the variable star Chi Cygni has reached naked eye visiblity! I was doing a naked eye scan when i spotted the 'new' star in Cygnus. It was quite a thrilling introduction and a nice suprise :D

Great work again and i hope to see more NLCs in the very near future!
