Another Solar System "planet"? was created by johnflannery
looks like we're still finding planet-sized things in the outer Solar System . . .

Would this be called a planet or an asteroid, have the IAU come to a solid definition of both ??

Aren't they called planetoids? Asteroid-type bodies albeit in a loose orbit around the sun?

Had to check up meaning of TNO. It is Trans-Neptunian Object (ie. its orbit is outside that if Neptune). You learn something new every day :wink:
