Unusual Sundog! was created by martinastro
At 21.10 LT yesterday evening i spotted a faint multi coloured sundog very low in the NW. However it was of a rare type that it appeared appprox 30* to the west of the sun instead of the typical 22* dogs....unusual indeed. I took an image but it is VERY difficult to see however with the naked eye it was easy. You can also see a nice plane contrail between the dog and the sun.

Very dramatic images there Martin.
If you look closely, its scary to see how much of the clouds are made up from contrails, all that lost blue sky.
