Conor/Martin - great write-ups and super images. Well done.
You really are putting the rest of us to shame
Can you tell me more about the first image in the list above and how you took it?
The 3rd image of NLC's is fabulous.
I think someone may have nicked your camera and snuck a shot of themselves - two very dodgy looking characters...
Cheers

coruscations attending the whole length of the luminosity, giving to the phenomena the aspect of a wrathful messenger, and not that of a tranquil body pursuing a harmless course..comet of 1680

Thanks alot Dave
LOL yea those 2 are abit dodgy looking..wouldnt like to meet them on a dark night...lol
The first image is a CCD image of the Galaxy NGC4319 which i found during a visual comet search. Its mag 13.12 in Draco. This is the first galaxy i have found which is not in Sky Atlas 2000.
Thanks regarding the 3rd image. Its at ISO400/2 sec exposure/Auto Mode and tripod mounted
Cheers

Did you take the CCD image yourself? Its a nice shot. There's tons of galaxies in that area of the sky and you've a keen eye. Hardly surprising - you must spend so much time at the eypiece I'd say there's plenty more for you to spot that aren't in the mainsteram catalaogues.
Thanks again to both you and Conor for yet another super report and great images.

Thanks alot Dave for your kind words.
No, i did not take that image myself. I 'borrowed' it from the net to show readers what NGC4319 looks like. Wish i had a CCD camera
