Hi all,
I have not received my Sky&Telescope for Oct 2005. Has anybody
(subscribers) received theirs?
There seems to be a big variation in delivery dates, in the last year it ranged from between the 22nd two months before the cover date to the 17th one month before the cover date.
John
i got mine in earlier in the week.

I am quite "impressed" with the AWOL Oct/2005 issue. I received mine about a month ago and right on time. Early next week I should be receiving the Nov/2005 issue.
One problem I have with the published dates for S&T and Astronomy is the fact they are "so" far into the future in relation to their arrival time. I guess the same cannot be said true for Irish subscribers who seem to receive their issues a few days/weeks before the cover date?!
It is interesting that this is not an isolated case but widespread amongst a number of individuals.

In fairness to S&T. I think its an an post problem. Considering A&S had the same issues. Apparantly the sorting is now done in portlaoise, so the mail from dublin (for example) arrives in dublin, is sent to portlaoise for sorting and then sent back to Dublin. There really needs to be a sorting office in all the major cities, crazy stuff really.
I know a thing or two about an post (my wife used to work for them) and I could tell you stories that would make your hair stand on end!
I only got mine midweek also.
So it being sorted through Portlaosie hasn't made any difference for TAS menbers...
