S/2005 (2003 UB313) Planet X? new moon
Mike Brown, California Institute of Technology, on behalf of the
adaptive-optics team at Keck Observatory, reports the
discovery of a moon of the transneptunian object 2003 UB313 on six 60-s exposures taken on 2005 Sept. 10 UT with the "Laser Guide Star Adaptive Optics" system at the Keck II telescope.
The moon was found to be about 4.43 magnitudes fainter than the
primary which is 18.7 magnitude, and to be separated 0".53 from the primary

Jeez Eamonn, this just gets better Now would you or anyone else be able to follow up on this? How about it? Here's Boyle's chance!!!
With Dave's follow-up on that supernova, this could be a great week for astronomy in Ireland!
Keith.

2003 UB 313 'Zena' has the moon named 'Gabrielle'
The moon is about 155 miles wide and 60 times fainter than Xena, the
farthest-known object in the solar system.
Keith, with a week to go I'll have to do something about those darn clouds!

Ok Eamonn, let's say by the end of the month Damn clouds ruin everything, even the eclipse today.
That's great information on that moon, it's the first i've heard.
Best of Luck!
Keith..
