Hi Dave,

Thanks for the kind words.

I hope you seriously consider becoming a medium (fortune teller) ... your comments last week in another thread were very prophetic. :!:

I may have something else showing up in very early Jan/2006 ... let's see.

I guess APOD is an accolade that is is very special - possibly more so than the magazines becasue of the wider audience. You are now among the likes of Rob Gendler and Jim mist! Although I think you've had more than one APOD?

I look forward to the late xmas prsent in January :D

All the best

Not just that but APOD is perhaps the most difficult nut to crack. I have been fortunate to have my work appear in various issues of S&T (for example) and yet I consider APOD more difficult than S&T when having work showcased.

You are now among the likes of Rob Gendler and Jim mist!

Just being mentioned with these gentlemen is an honour in itself. In fact, my APOD from yesterday is followed today by Rob's M31 masterpiece ... a further honour for me.

Although I think you've had more than one APOD?

Actually this is my sixth APOD and something which I really treasure. I personally consider it the "Nobel Prize" of astrophotography.

I look forward to the late xmas prsent in January :D

Me too. :!:

All the best

Thanks again for the very kind words.

Anthony.

Dave,

I am very fortunate to have had these six APOD's:

antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap051221.html
antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap050729.html
antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap050623.html

antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap040621.html
antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap040506.html

antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap030320.html

With the imminent arrival of the AP1200GTO, I suspect (and hope) even more success with both APOD and the various magazines, for I will have a killer imaging combo (AP160+AP1200GTO) to go with my great weather, little light pollution, great transparency and very good seeing.

As usual and always, just a little patience for the AP1200GTO to arrive.

Anthony.
