I don't have a Toucam but I know from reading a bit that this is the most popular webcam for this type of work. Before I get one I just want to know if there is anything else that is needed. If there is some interface required, can you tell me where it can be purchased and what it is called?
Many thanks.
I really must think of something interesting to use as a tag line!

Could someone please tell me how a Philips Toucam webcam can be mounted onto a telescope?

i think this is what you are looking for:-
www.telescopehouse.co.uk/page.aspx?theLa...DF4T4&action=lnk
you unscrew the lens and use this adaptor (this is of course assuming your scope accepts 1.25" eyepieces and not the smaller 0.9" ones).
you will also need one of these:-

to get proper focus depending on your scope also.

Unfortunately, the second link does not work so I cannot see what is needed for focus assistance.
The telescope is a Meade ETX 70AT so does have the 1.25" fitting.

The etx 70 does have this fitting, this scope is able to accept 1.25 inch eyepieces, which means its also able to accept the 1.25 inch toucam adapter.
check out

and click on the webcam adapters halfway down on the lefthand side of the page, it works out abit cheaper, although the cost of shipping might negate that.

It would be cheaper to get one from Perseu in Portugal. There are a few options there for webcams and adapters.
